Golowjy ha Bal
53k 4 September 2004
Peter Hansen organized
a cycle ride from Connor Downs, near Hayle for the first time this year.
The weather was perfect and he had a good support for the 100k and the
50k. I went on the 50k and here are a few photos. We were taken from Connor
Downs down to Gwithian, back up to Kehelland, Barriper, Fraddon, Goldsithney,
Godolphin Cross and our tea stop at the Sithney Tea Shop was the highlight
of the day! We then came back through Nancegollan and used the by roads
back to Connor Down. Thanks Peter for a wonderful ride and to your wife,
Mareve, for her hard work supporting you in this event.

Mike Hunting
and his 7 year old daughter Rosie, Mike is a very early AUK member
and prolific Randonnee Organiser, "also a Paris- Brest- Paris
Ancien". Rosie and he are both in the Devon DA. Rosie completed
this, her first 50k Randdonee and Peter Hansen had the pleasure
of presenting her with her medal after the event. Congratulations
Rosie.
Two other
youngsters, Wilf (9 years) and Phoebe 14 years) Whitehouse also
completed their first Randonnee that day. Our congratulations
go to them as well.

Another one taken
at the Handy shop with the Falmouth Wheelers in the Foreground, and
I am in the back with the yellow jersey - unfortunately this did not
mean I was the leader, I just like to be seen on the road. |
