Stoke
Canon, Exeter Sunday 14 March 2004
In spite of
the terrible weather conditions we had a wonderful friendly ride
from Stoke Canon through Killerton, onto Budlake and Talaton and
from there I was lost. I just followed the leader Pete Luxton who
gave us a wonderful cycle ride through some of the quiet roads of
Devon. We stopped for lunch at a converted farmhouse and we were
all soaking wet by this time, but it did not seem to down anyone's
spirits. I did wonder if cyclists are "sain" because why
would anyone want to cycle on a cold wet Sunday morning - it is
always the same, we enjoy the exercise and meeting up with friends.
A day I really enjoyed and I would like to express my thanks to
Pete Luxton for organizing this ride and providing us with tea,
coffee and stewed blackcurrant and apple with custard after the
ride!
